The Boy from Oz.

We have just arrived home after seeing the Boy from Oz. Whoo....hoo....It was fantastic....I still have the warm and fuzzies. What a great show...Hugh Jackman was energetic and as the girl behind us kept reminding us every 15 minutes, absolutely gorgeous.....but seriously folks ...he was brilliant...so was everyone else....I had to bite my cheeks to stop myself from crying a few times during the show...particularly during "I Still Call Australia Home" ...but when Colleen Hewitt sang "Dont Cry Out Loud" I could'nt hold back the tears....I'm not sure if it was because it was a sad moment in the show or if it was the flood of nostalgia that engulfed me when I heard her voice again after all these years. Hugh seemed to be enjoying himself and we enjoyed him too. A night to remember.

Patsy Hart Artist ??????

"I create therefore I am."

Workshopping.

I spent most of my weekend doing workshops. It was great. I had'nt participated in a workshop since I was at Art school, but this year I have done 3...so far. There was the textile workshop with Annie...we learnt to make a wearable Mobious strip and on Saturday I learnt to make the knitted and crocheted versions in another of Annie's classes. Then on Sunday I learnt to make soldered glass jewellery. Now if anyone is wondering what any of these have to do with painting then you will just have to wait and see what I come up with next.

Frazzled.

I have been so busy this week I am feeling a bit frazzled. I feel like I am running around like a chook with her head cut off....crikey! Lots to do. Lots to do. Anyway I have been lucky enough to get a laptop. Marc from Ozcom Computer Services arranged a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 and it is lovely. Im getting a bit geeky....I think....mmmmm....Whoo hoo. I have been painting. I have been sewing. I have been knitting. I have been teaching myself to crochet....AGAIN....I am having much more sucess this time. I have been organising my new laptop, adding programs etc. Trying to find out how to convert some video that we recorded onto a DVD into something that will play on anyone else's DVD player other than ours.....Cant work that one out....most frustrating... and this is amongst all the other things a girl has to do when she is a wife, a mother and a grandmother and a partner in a business. It really is'nt that bad ....REALLY...REALLy...REALly...REAlly...REally...Really...really... reall...real...rea...re...r.....

Something Weird this way Comes Again!

If I thought the previous week was odd, this week has been even more strange with the deaths of two high profile Australians...Steve Irwin and Peter Brock. I have heard numerous times over the past few days "these things happen in threes. Who is going to be the third?" What short memories they have. Richard Carleton died earlier this year whilst on the job, also. As far as I'm concerned I think that adds up to three.

Something Weird this way Comes.

I dont know what it was , but, last week everyone I came across was out of sorts. I was extremely irritable ( and, no ,there were no hormones flying about ) some were bursting into tears and others just getting themselves into all sorts of messes. For my part, I felt relief on Monday morning...I just hope everyone else did too.

All Wrapped Up.

Yesterday I participated in one of lovely Annie Rawle's Catalyst workshops. It was great fun and I learnt a lot. Annie is a generous teacher. I would love to do some more.
