I was stumbling yesterday when I came across a website named koalanet.com.au. It is a website about Noosa Queensland and on this site there is a section on Australian slang. I thought I might throw in a few now and again ...just to refresh my memory .
Bodgy : of inferior quality .
Bog in : commence eating, to attack food with enthusiasm.
Brass razoo, he hasn't got a : he's very poor .
Bludger : lazy person, layabout, somebody who always relies on other people to do things or lend him things.
Budgie smugglers : men's bathing costume.
Bush telly : campfire .
Cactus : dead, not functioning ("this bloody washing machine is cactus").
Captain Cook : look (noun) ("let's have a Captain Cook").
Cark it : to die, cease functioning.
